Ice Cream sundaes

 This was a three day sub assignment for middle school classes. I showed students how to draw the outline shape of the sundae cup and the ice cream then let them create their own sundaes with a choice of their topping and favors. This is outlined first drawn in pencil then, outlined in black permanent markers then colored with oil pastel.

Haunted House

Twice a year I make these graham cracker houses. I make them at Halloween time with Halloween candy then again at Christmas time with holiday candy.I used chocolate grahams for the Haunted house. The graham crackers are "glued" together into a box shape with frosting.I used full sheets of crackers for this townhouse. I prefer using half sheets for Christmas so it looks more like a cottage house. Then two cracker half's are put at an angle to create the roof. Its kinda like when you build a house of cards.Broken cracker crumbs created the "grave stones" the "sidewalk" and the "dirt". I usually build the house on cardboard sheets with aluminum foil or in this case plastic wrap over them. Best to use something disposable.

Faux foods

 I few weeks ago I was working with a new group of kids at the Dazzle school. I have leftover cardboard circles from the "Cosmic Greenies" back drops I had done. They made my think..Pizza! maybe I was just hungry. This project is very simple.. you will need Red acrylic paint and a variety of colors of craft foam, scissors and Elmer's glue.  Paint on the red paint. while this is sitting cut the shapes of you craft foam choose for , cheeses, pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage etc. Cut your shapes drizzle on Elmer's white glue over the red paint and and your pizza toppings!
